My friend Paul is really into adventures. He’s also turning 30 this weekend so our mutual friend Maggie had the brilliant idea of collecting his exploits into a notebook that he can build on. She asked friends to submit stories and photos and then we got to work on the notebook.
I used PVA to cover a standard composition notebook in butcher paper and then applied black bookbinder’s tape to the spine. The inside cover is an old inter-office envelope that functions as a pocket and the back cover is an old map of Chicago. The tabs are just folded pieces of paper that allow him to split up his adventures by past, present, and future.
My favorite part? The notebook cost $2.50 and all the other supplies were leftover from previous projects. Most birthday bang for the buck ever, y/y?
